Press Pause, Go Play was a great success, leaving parents inspired and equipped with tools to protect their children in the digital age. Our experts, Emma Sadleir and Kate Farina, discussed current risks and practical solutions for collective action.

Press Pause, Go Play

SFC and the Parent Pact officially launched in October to 1500 parents at two events held in Cape Town. Our mission: to connect and empower parents to press pause on smartphones and social media for kids. We provide the mechanisms to find like-minded parents in your community, and we empower YOU to take action for your children. This video is one such resource. Enjoy and share!

Why?

When we first started using smart devices, we had little understanding of the impact they have on kids. Now we do. This video unpacks the harms, the global tipping point taking place, and shows how you can take collective action. You are not alone! Take Action

It’s completely up to parents to take action in their own communities. Sign the pact, write your head teacher, give a talk. You’ll find all the resources you need here. Don’t forget there are many parents who feel the same as you!
